The University of Santiago de Compostela has Brainstorm as a technological partner in its new Virtus space
Brainstorm Participate as a technological partner of the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC) In its new Virtus space, a technological platform for virtual research that is born with the impulse of European financing of the Next Generation program.
Virtus appeared on October 23 at the Faculty of Communication Sciences of the USC, in an act chaired by the Rector and in which members of the University Government Team, and members of the educational community and the audiovisual industry participated.
Virtus not only meets the mandate of research and transfer of knowledge of the university, but is presented as a platform at the service of the Galician audiovisual sector, in which any company that requires the most advanced technologies of virtual production can access this space in market conditions and prices.
Miguel Churruca, Marketing and Communication Director of Brainstorm states that "participating in Virtus is a magnificent opportunity to make available to both the USC and the audiovisual fabric of Galicia the possibilities of our virtual and 3D production technology in real time, used by televisions and content creators throughout the world."
The project was implemented by the systems integration company Broad Service, which integrated virtual study technologies, augmented reality and Brainstorm graphics, based on InfinitySet y Aston, with the PTZ and study cameras with tracking, lighting, mixers, audio, and the rest of the elements. Broad Service and Brainstorm have already collaborated in projects of the highest level both in Spain and in other countries.
For Enrique Castelló, scientific director of Virtus, "my relationship with Brainstorm already fulfills a quarter of a century, first as a television filmmaker and later as a teacher. If I have always preferred her virtual solutions above others, it has been for her ergonomics, versatility, creativity and a constant evolution, in which we have gone from being clients to technological partners."
"The collaboration with Brainstorm has been a constant in my research career since the realization of my doctoral thesis that began 14 years ago until the last joint research project that we ended in April of this year. The support, the quality and versatility of its solutions and the closeness are the keys to our long relationship. That is why we have not had the slightest doubt that they were the ideal travel colleagues for virtus," he adds King Mendez, Technical Director of Virtus.
Brainstorm has been collaborating with the USC for more than 15 years, and during this period a narrow and fruitful relationship has been established for both parties, which have become technological partners at various levels, including European projects and different agreements.
