Christie debuts Spider-S Series and Mastering Gateway: UHD multi-screen processing and video distribution over IP
Spyder-S Series, with five variants for window management processing on multiple screens, and Mastering Gateway, a solution for the distribution of high definition, 4K and 8K video over IP networks, are incorporated into the catalog of solutions of Christie.
Spyder-S Series expands award-winning platform Spyder with features that aim to redefine window management in multiple screens in real time and their processing. Compatible with resolutions high definition, 4K and 8K con ultra low latency, Spyder-S seeks to guarantee synchronized image quality for critical applications such as broadcast or live events.
Key features of the Spyder-S Series include a modular and distributed architecture, which allows multiple Spyder-S nodes to be combined to a shared source to create canvas of higher resolutions; a new mosaic mode, which offers a powerful way to distribute content, with minimal latency, to an even greater number of displays by allowing any output to act as a multiviewer in rendering environments. canvas; and high performance compositing engine compatible with standards such as HDMI 2.1, DP 1.4 and 12G SDI and capable of managing up to 64 inputs and layers in one or more pixel spaces, and compatibility with “very high resolution” content with an “unlimited” number of windows per screen.
Christie has also presented Mastering Gateway, a tool intended for video, audio and metadata distribution in uncompressed high definition, 4K and 8K over IP networks, all with zero frames of latency. This tool, designed for post-production and VFX flows, is compatible with the ST protocol 2110-20,30 and 40; allows you to handle content with a color depth of 12 bits y RGB 4:4:4; It offers multiple control options, including a time-based patch scheduler that connects sources to targets based on a shared calendar, and an X-Y control interface for manual patches and presets, and features a modular architecture that evolves based on user needs.
Clark Williams, executive vice president of the area broadcast and professional video group of Christie, considers that both tools "will raise the performance standards of multi-screen window management, their composition and distribution of video, audio and metadata over IP networks." “Delivering unmatched flexibility and adaptability, these solutions are designed to meet the demanding demands of professionals in industries such as live events, broadcast, visual effects and post-production,” he adds.
