Lawo - Oman TV mc2 56

Various solutions Theirs shape the next-generation IP-based audio infrastructure of Oman TV, a broadcaster dependent on the Ministry of Information of Oman that has adapted an auditorium to make it compatible with all types of broadcasts.

Since traditional auditorium designs rarely include degree redundancy broadcast, Oman TV had to reimagine the entire facility to make it work as a traditional studio, allowing uninterrupted transmission of signals inside and outside the building. To meet these demands without compromising performance or reliability, the system required a IP network infrastructure.

Pixel Solutions, a Muscat-based systems integrator, collaborated closely with Lawo to address this challenge. In the words of Anas Alkurdi, CEO of the company: “Lawo's solutions and experience helped us design a system that exceeds the demanding standards of Oman TV, while our team gained valuable experience in broadcast audio systems.”

Lawo - Oman TV rackLawo deployment is structured around an audio production console Lawo mc²56 MkIII con 32 faders, paired with an audio engine A__UHD Core. Both elements are capable of managing more than 1,000 DSP channels, allowing engineers to manage the internal audio mix for live events, while controlling signals for broadcast distribution. Additionally, the console manages more than 100 audio inputs and outputs, providing seamless routing between applications.

This configuration is completed with two stage boxes A__stage64, which comply with ST 2110 standards, and the management platform Home from Lawo, which offers centralized and intuitive management of all connected devices. In parallel, Oman TV has integrated an 11 m x 5 m LED video wall LEDman, more than 60 luminaires Prolights, ArenaMatch AM10 speakers and ShowMatch SMS118 subwoofers from Bose. The venue also features commentary and translation booths equipped with Studio Technologies solutions, such as the Model 214A announcer console and the Model 348 intercom station. These systems were “seamlessly” integrated with Lawo's infrastructure using standard protocols.
