Kino Konepaja combines cinema and post-production room with Genelec

The system surround 7.1 of Genelec became the heart of the Kino Konepaja setup, with three studio speakers S360 High SPL at LCR positions, six studio speakers 8350 as surround and a subwoofer 7382: "They are incredibly easy to use. You only need a line-level signal cable between the processor and the speakers." The quality of the system also stands out: "Even at high SPL levels, the detail and clarity of the Genelec sound is astonishing. It is gratifying to offer an experience in which the audience hears the sound exactly as the creators intended."

The attention to detail of the local it also extends beyond the main space of the cinema. In the bar area, visitors can find a trio of compact 8020 studio speakers paired with a subwoofer 7050, models that Myllyniemi purchased almost two decades ago: “Everything else has changed over the years, but these Genelec models are still fully functional and still fit perfectly.” On the other hand, acoustic designer Kalle Lehtonen, from Promethor, a Finnish acoustic consulting company, also collaborated on the project, focusing on acoustic insulation.
