Edison OnCloud: Brainstorm's virtual content ecosystem comes to the cloud at NAB 2025
Brainstorm completes the Edison ecosystem with the launch in NAB 2025 (April 6-9, Las Vegas) from Edison OnCloud, a cloud-based application accessible by subscription.
Designed for companies and educational institutions, the ecosystem Edison has been developed to help users enhance their narrative with real-time 3D graphics and other visual elements, while including themselves in the scene. This way, presenters can immerse themselves in a virtual and photorealistic environment, controlling your presentations with clickers or remote devices.
At NAB 2025, Brainstorm premieres Edison OnCloud, a solution aimed at creating immersive presentations in the cloud. With an intuitive and “extremely simplified” interface", as well as robust real-time collaboration capabilities, Edison OnCloud seeks to expand the productivity of teams, regardless of their location. This subscription-based service offers several plans, starting from a simple presentation application, to a complete creative solution.
The Edison Ecosystem is completed with custom capture environments such as Edison eDesk and applications like EdisonGO, which allow you to capture video with tracking information, so that any user can take advantage of Edison's powerful tools. Edison eDesk includes a portable chroma set and a desk with workstation, camera and lights, making it a self-sufficient, ready-to-use solution. If the user prefers to create realistic AR shows, the EdisonGO app uses an iPad Pro to provide video with tracking information to Edison, which can insert AR objects of any type in context.
AstonWeather begins stage with AccuWeather
Brainstorm has also taken advantage of NAB 2025 to launch the redesign of AstonWeather, a comprehensive solution that combines real-time 3D graphics, AR, and cutting-edge virtual sets from Brainstorm with a wide selection of weather data visualization tools from Brainstorm. AccuWeather. Built on customizable and editable templates, the new version of AstonWeather now draws on AccuWeather data to generate dynamic 2D and 3D graphics in real time. These can also be displayed as elements of augmented reality (AR), allowing broadcasters to interact with immersive graphics on both real and virtual sets.
Both brands already had an extensive history of collaboration, which now reaches new heights. Ricardo Montesa, CEO and founder of Brainstorm, shares his excitement about the launch: “By combining AccuWeather's unbeatable weather data with Brainstorm's advanced real-time AR graphics, we are equipping broadcasters with powerful tools to create compelling, data-driven weather storytelling that captivates audiences.”
