Helios: complete renovation with Christie laser projectors and servers
Over the next few years, all screens Helios, the largest independent cinema chain in Poland, will be equipped with the latest CineLife+ series laser projectors and CineLife+ IMB-S4 multimedia servers from Christie.
Helios, led by Tomasz Jagiełło, has been using projectors Christie from more than 30 years ago. "On my first day of work in our first cinema, I asked the technician what his ideal projector would be and he told me Christie. What I learned in the first two hours of my first day, I made it a reality for my team as we grew. There is a magic in Christie projection," comments the CEO and general director of the company, showing his confidence in the firm's solutions.
In 2025, Helios has started a transition to adopt the company's latest generation of projectors. Specifically, they will be installed 63 pairs of projectors y servers in eight cinemas, with different 4K and 2K pure RGB laser mixing technologies, and enhanced RBe laser. As Christie emphasizes, the change to pure RGB laser will offer visitors “the best cinematic experience”, taking advantage of “state-of-the-art” operational efficiency and “energy savings”. The projectors, explains Marcin Czubak, CTO of Helios, are completed with the servers CineLife+ IMB-S4, whose integration with projection “makes it a perfect solution.”
One of the hallmarks of Helios' remarkable success has been its unique mix of state-of-the-art equipment, eye-catching architecture and a highly localized approach to each cinema, combined with innovative advertising campaigns. Jagiełło says Christie is crucial to his future strategy. Adil Zerouali, Christie's vice president of sales for EMEA, comments: “I have had the pleasure of working alongside Tomasz and his team on many projects, and we are proud to be working with Helios again to help them continue to deliver the best-in-market cinema experience for which they are known.”
