SETT - Connecta Fiction - María Coronado - Carla Redondo - Audiovisual Spain Hub

Conecta Fiction & Entertainment has hosted a presentation of the Spanish Society for Technological Transformation (SETT) in which the new opportunities for coinversion and co -financing have been presented for the audiovisual sector offered by the second phase of the plan Spain Audiovisual Hub.

The operation of the SETT as an investment managing entity makes it an actor generating actor financial opportunities and a public lever for business opportunities in sectors such as audiovisual. The organization executes, among others, the Audiovisual Hub Fund, an instrument for implementing the PRTR plan funds, from the Next Generation Fund of the European Union.

With the new phase of the Audiovisual Hub plan, it is sought to encourage private investment and improve access to financing in projects related to films, fiction, television, contents, digital culture, as well as multimedia and interactive content, such as video games, immersion experiences and visual effects. Similarly, it seeks to develop capital markets in these areas. María Coronado, Director of Audiovisual of the SETT, together with Carla Redondo Galbarriatu, general director of Management of Digitalization and Audiovisual Communication of Sedia, have been in charge of explaining in detail in Connecta Fiction the keys of this plan.

The new stage of the Audiovisual Hub plan, led by the Ministry for Digital and Public Function, through Sedia, has a budget of 1,712 million euros, providing financing and investments in capital and quasiCapital, directly or through intermediaries that carry out similar activities. The first phase of the Spain Audiovisual Plan in Europe, developed between 2021 and 2024, awarded a total of 1,603 million euros in aid regime.
