Jaime Ondarza

Jaime Ondarza joins the group Mediaman as advisor to Elisabeth d’Arvieu, CEO of Mediawan Pictures. Among his duties, he will assume the position of interim CEO of the Spanish production company Boomerang TV.

Ondarza, who will report to Elisabeth d’Arvieu and work alongside Monica Galer, president of Mediawan activities in Spain, has extensive experience as an international media and entertainment executive. With more than 26 years of experience in the industry, ha ocupado puestos de responsabilidad en EMEA, incluyendo CEO para el sur de Europa e Israel en Fremantle (hasta abril de 2024), vicepresidente ejecutivo y CEO de Paramount para el sur de Europa, Oriente Medio y África, vicepresidente sénior y director general de WarnerMedia para el sur de Europa y África, y CEO de Boing (una empresa conjunta entre Mediaset y Warner Media). Until his arrival in Mediawan, Ondarza worked as independent consultant and producer. He is currently also a professor at the Luiss University of Rome (Master in Creative Industries Management).

Founded at the end of 2015 by Pierre-Antoine Capton, Xavier Niel and Matthieu Pigasse, Mediawan is one of the leading independent European audiovisual content studios. The group produces original drama, film, documentary, animation and unscripted content (Mediawan Studios) thanks to more than 50 production labels in France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Finland and Senegal. It also has distribution of audiovisual content (Mediawan Rights, LS Distribution y Telmondis Distribution); the editing of digital channels and services (Mediawan Thematics) and the development and production of digital content (Digital Mediaman).

As for Boomerang TV, it is one of the main Spanish audiovisual production companies and, since November 2020, it has been part of the French group Mediawan, one of the largest production studios in Europe. In its 25 years of history, it has produced more than a hundred programs of all entertainment genres and is a benchmark in the adaptation of large international formats.
