Boomerang TV prepares the adaptation of 'The Frozen Heart'

Playwright Miguel del Arco is writing the scripts for the adaptation of the novel that recreates an exciting panorama of the recent history of Spain from the Civil War to the beginning of the 21st century.

Boomerang TV prepares the adaptation of the novel of the same name by Almudena Grandes The frozen heart. The work recreates an exciting panorama of the recent history of Spain from the Civil War to the beginning of the 21st century through the families of two characters: Álvaro Carrión, son of an important businessman whose power dates back to the years of Francoism and Raquel Fernández, daughter and granddaughter of republican exiles in France.

The scripts for this adaptation are written by the prestigious playwright Miguel del Arco, author and director of “The Youkali Project”, “Juicio a una zorra”, “Deseo” and “Refugio”. The project is led by Luis Santamaría, Executive Producer of series such as “Alba” or “La Otra Mirada”.

“The Frozen Heart” has captivated critics and audiences and has sold more than 700,000 copies to date. Translated into several languages, the novel has also received numerous national and international recognitions such as the José Manuel Lara Foundation Novel Award 2007, Book of the Year Award from the Madrid Booksellers' Guild, Prix Méditerranée 2009 (for the French edition) or the Premio Rapallo-Carige Internazionale 2009 (for the Italian edition).

Boomerang TV has solid experience in adapting great literary works with highly successful productions such as “Inés del alma mía”, “El tiempo entre corazónas” or “La temperanza”, which will soon be released by Amazon Prime Video. Recently, he announced that he is also preparing the adaptation of the novel “Divina Lola”.
