Antena 3 prepares 'López y Leal contra el canal', adaptation of the international 'Beat the Channel'
Red Arrow Studios International has closed an agreement with the production company Boxfish for a local Spanish version of the hit entertainment format 'Beat the Channel', which will be seen on Antenna 3 under the name 'López and Leal against the canal'.
Beat the Channel it's a entertainment format of maximum audience, energetic and totally original, in which two popular television presenters They have the opportunity to win a 15-minute live slot that they can use for whatever they want. Roberto Leal and Iñaki López will come together to face a series of physical and mental challenges and, at the end of each episode, it will be decided whether the duo has won or lost against the station. If they win, they will secure valuable camera time to do and say whatever they want. If they lose, however, they must be placed under the chain's command for a full day.
The original Beat the Channel, produced by Florida Entertainment to ProSieben (local title: Joko & Klaas gegen ProSieben) is a huge hit in Germany, where it continues to grow in popularity. The last season reached an average share of 17.9% among viewers aged 14 to 49 and 25.2% among viewers aged 14 to 39. Its adaptation, produced by Atresmedia TV in collaboration with BoxFish, will be named López and Leal against the channel will be presented by Eva Gonzalez. She will be the master of ceremonies and in charge of monitoring that the program's rules are met.
