The vision of Avid for the “next generation newsroom” is based on story-centric workflows and in his unified content data platform. This intelligent platform offers access to global media, metadata streaming, semantic search and browser-based editing, allowing teams to be supported from the conception of the news idea to its publication.
In parallel, the new automation tools e artificial intelligence will feature prominently in the Avid showcase through new Open APIs. These tools, combined with the talent of the brand's partner ecosystem, allow users to customize their workflows and accelerate processes through hundreds of plug-and-play tools developed by agents such as Traco.ai, Digital Nirvana y Streamwell.
As for the audio post production, IBC 2025 will host the debut of Innovative new Pro Tools updates, including the newly released Splice integration, evolving functionality, AI-powered speech-to-text capabilities, and improved interoperability with Media Composer. These updates, in the company's words, “mark a major advancement in music and audio post-production workflows.”
Wellford Dillard, CEO of Avid, notes that IBC 2025 marks “an important milestone” in Avid's innovation journey, as the company “redoubles its efforts on automation, open ecosystems and unified content experiences.” “We are empowering organizations to accelerate content creation and get the most out of their assets,” he commented.
Avid: the cloud is still present at IBC 2025
At the Amsterdam meeting, Avid will address post-production workflows through two pillars: smarter integrations and scalable cloud solutions based on AWS.
Media Composer y Nexus Remote continues to improve to enable high-resolution collaborative editing from “anywhere,” leveraging integrations from AI partners like Flawless directly on the timeline. Show attendees will be able to preview the new world-class tools through the SDK Media Composer Panel of Avid, open and rapidly growing.
In parallel, Avid's unified cloud strategy, supported by its collaboration with AWS, accelerates deployment, reduces infrastructure costs, and expands access to global creative talent.
