A decade of NDI

NDI debuted at the IBC in 2015. 2025 marks 10 years since it began enabling real-time video streaming over IP. In that time, it has evolved to become one of the largest IP video ecosystems in the sector, adopted by millions of users and supported by leading hardware and software companies around the world.

This milestone is not only a celebration of past achievements, but also a launching pad for the “next era of innovation” as NDI and its partners continue to expand possibilities in the broadcast, live production, enterprise and emerging markets. Miguel Coutinho, director of NDI: "Over the last decade, NDI has gone from replacing a single video cable to becoming a universal language for video across all industries. Our goal has always been to provide high-quality, flexible and affordable video connectivity, whether you are a large broadcaster, a systems integrator or a creator working from home."
