ARRI adapts the Alexa 35 Live to broadcast environments with the LPM-1 monitor
Despite not having attended IBC 2025 and between information from a possible sale to a third party company, ARRI wanted to be present in the broadcast conversation through the launch of the LPM-1 monitor.
He LPM-1 combines an integrated 10-inch screen and a dedicated control interface to transform the cinema system ALEXA 35 Live – Multicam in a broadcast solution. ARRI development connects to the camera via a viewfinder cable ARRI CoaXPress, while an optional RS cable can provide additional power for maximum brightness, to provide operators with support to check the focus of the shots, as well as other functions.
In addition to its touch interface, the LPM-1 has touch rotary controls to easily adjust the contrast, color, brightness and peaking, allowing operators to modify the monitor image without affecting the production image. Next to the rotary controls there are four configurable user buttons that can be assigned to camera or monitor functions for personalized, on-the-fly control. Initial setup of the camera and monitor can be done using the touch screen or the buttons on the back of the monitor. Furthermore, at the rear, the system has rugged mechanical interfaces for battery plates, VESA mounts and other accessories.
To further assist the professional operator, the system has three physical indicator lights discreetly located on top of the monitor, which can complement or replace the monitor's overlay indicator. For on-camera performers or presenters, the three-color talent indicator is bright enough to be clearly visible in all lighting conditions, even direct sunlight.
As a complement to the LPM-1, ARRI highlights the monitor support MYS-2, providing sturdy support and flexible maneuverability. It features an integrated NATO rail that allows operators to slide the monitor back and forth and adjust its position on multiple axes with just one hand.
