AGAPI - Dolores Ben - Fernanda del Nido

AGAPI, the Galician Association of Independent Producers, has recognized the professional career of the producer Fernanda del Nido (September Cinema, Tic Tac Producciones) with the Dolores Ben Honor Award, an award created to celebrate the career of people and institutions that embody the values ​​of defense of the common interest that Dolores herself represented in the audiovisual industry.

Del Nido's recognition ceremony took place in Cinemar Films, sound film studio founded by Dolores Ben in 2006, located in the Novo Milladoiro industrial estate very close to Santiago de Compostela. Guests related to the world of culture traveled there and wanted to support with their presence this very special event that included the participation of Natividade González, deputy of culture of the Provincial Council of Coruña, and with the musical accompaniment of the group Lula Mora.

AGAPI - Dolores Ben - Fernanda del NidoFernanda del Nido, film producer, member of ACE (Ateliers du Cinema Européen) and combines her production work with teaching, in addition to being head of studies for the Program since 2020 EAVE Bridges. In 2006, he founded Tic Tac Productions in La Coruña, where he produced feature films such as 18 Foods, Dust y Bring the lights, What is the fault of the tomato? (premiered at the MOMA) and cold sea water (awarded at the Rotterdam Festival). He has also participated in the documentary executive production y audiovisual projects for exhibitions.

In 2014, he created a new production company in Barcelona, September Cinema. From there, he participates in projects of great international renown such as a fantastic woman (Oscar for best foreign language film) and Neruda (Golden Globe nominee). He has also co-produced films such as Rosa's wedding y Objects.

Among its latest projects, the production in 2024 of The crying, Silver Shell Award from the San Sebastián Festival, as well as The arrival of the son, released in the past San Sebastian Festival and Awarded Best Argentine Film at Mar del Plata FF. She is currently immersed in the production of A Nadadora by the Galician director Sandra Sánchez.

Del Nido thanked the recognition and recalled, excited, Dolores Ben, who was his professional colleague as well as a friend. So far, the poetess and cultural journalist Ana Romaní (I Dolores Ben Prize), the journalist Tareixa Navaza (II Dolores Ben Prize) and the translator and linguist Rosa Moledo (III Dolores Ben Prize) have been awarded in previous editions.
