'Caballé' is being filmed, a biopic of the Spanish soprano directed by Patricia Ortega

Begoña Alberdi and Ana Saavedra will play Montserrat Caballé in the different stages of her life in 'Caballé', a biopic directed by Patricia Ortega ('Mamacruz', ‘9 Remedy').

The Clapperboard PC, Seven Audiovisual Magic, Amania Films y No action capital AIE, in co-production with The Charito, EFD y Menuetto film, and with the sponsorship of Expert Costumes, take charge of this production signed by Oriol Marcos, Olmo Figueredo Gonzalez-Quevedo, Carlos Rosado Sibón y Kevin Churches, executive produced by Tiffany Ruoz y Sara Gomez. The film, which features the participation of 3Cat, in addition to the support of ICEC, ICAA y Media Creative Europe, will be released in theaters via Filmax.

horse tells the story of the soprano from her beginnings until she became the great diva of the world opera. The film alternates two temporary stages of your life: on the one hand, her youth, in a humble family marked by post-war scarcity and the pressure of being the last resort for her loved ones, and, on the other hand, her plenitude in 1991, when, now a great diva, she performed in her native Barcelona. The filming of the film takes place in the space of Sharp Point, located in Bilbao (where spaces from both periods have been built), and in locations in the city of Barcelona such as the Grand Theater of the Liceu.
