'Her Majesty', a Prime Video series about the monarchy, is filmed

100 Bullets (The Mediapro Studio) and Sayaka Productions shape Your Majesty, a comedy of Prime Video directed by Borja Cobeaga and Ginesta Guindal about the Spanish monarchy, filming has already begun in Madrid.

Your Majesty plans a scenario set in the year 2024 in which Pilar (Anna Castillo) is a young princess and future queen of Spain who, suddenly and precipitously, is forced to stay at the head of the institution after a scandal that splashes her father King Alfonso XIV, which takes him away from the public front line for a few months. This will give Castillo the opportunity to show the country that she is not the "irresponsible, insolent lazy and useless that everyone believes", although, according to the synopsis, "what happens is that they are still right." Together with Castillo, he will have a leading role Ernesto Alterio (Perfect strangers, A normal world, Narcos) as Royal Secretary.

After having written films together such as 8 Basque surnames, ETA Faith or Superlopez, and have separately created the series Vote Juan and I don't like to drive, this is the first time that Borja Cobeaga and Diego San José They jointly create a project for television. In Cobeaga's own words: "Thanks to Prime Video, Diego and I can undertake with Your Majesty, our most ambitious project. Until now we had made films or series that were shown in bars and flats. Here, by theme and by dimensions, we take a leap towards a comedy that takes place in a palace. The protagonist could be a normal girl, but you can't be normal if you're the heir to the throne."

The series, by 7 episodes of 30 minutes in length, is filming in Madrid through different and recognizable locations in the capital. The executive producer is Laura Fernández Espeso, Alejandro Florez, Javier Méndez and Diego San José from The Mediapro Studio, and Nahikari Ipiña and Borja Cobeaga from Sayaka Producciones. Alongside Diego San José and Borja Cobeaga, the writer and screenwriter José Antonio Pérez Ledo (Laika Orbit, Season Apollo, Walkers) make up the script team. For her part, the filmmaker Ginesta Guindal (Elite, Life Perfect, The Neighbor) signs the address together with Cobeaga.
