Vertical dramas (Photo: À Punt)

At Punt takes a step forward in its commitment to innovation and digital production by publishing a call to the audiovisual sector to present projects designed expressly for the digital environment.

The projects, which must take into account the new digital consumption habits, adjust to the tone and format of social networks and present itself as a series with continuity of any genre (dramedia, humor, romantic, etc.) and vertical recording format. The project presented must consist of a minimum of 65 chapters between 1 and 2 minutes long and will involve an investment of 100,000 euros for the audiovisual sector.

The deadline for submitting proposals will end on January 7, 2026 and the rules of the call are published on the website of the Corporació Audiovisual de la Comunitat Valenciana (CACVSA).

Los vertical dramas, as this format is called, is already a phenomenon that is transforming mobile entertainment. This type of format represents a new audiovisual language that combines classic narratives with digital consumer habits. À Punt is thus committed to reaching new audiences with new formats and new ways of distributing content.

Vertical dramas were born in China on platforms such as TikTok and social networks in that country. The format has been quickly exported to other places in the world, such as the United States, India, Brazil or Mexico, thanks to the growing use of smartphones and users' preference for consuming content in vertical format and through social networks.
