Spain, one of the few countries where 'Avatar 3' will be seen with Cinity quality

'Avatar 3' can be seen in Spain with the premium quality conceived by James Cameron. The projection format with technology Cinity, which combines 4K, 3D and HFR, is available exclusively at the movie theater chain Odeon.

Spain is one of the five countries in the world that has adapted theaters, which will be expanded from five to eleven on the occasion of the premiere of Avatar 3 on December 19. When James Cameron imagined how he wanted the public to see the new installment of Avatar: Fire and Ash, thought of the best projection format designed so far: Cinity technology. A system of Chinese origin that integrates for the first time the best qualities of current cinematographic technology, with 4K resolution, 3D, high brightness, high frame rate (HFR), high dynamic range (HDR), wide color gamut and surround sound. That is, until seven technologies that make up the best image and sound quality never seen before that provides a unique immersive experience for the viewer, extremely realistic.

But there is a significant handicap for Cameron to meet his expectations of achieving such a level of detail: Cinity technology has not yet reached all corners of the world, far from it. In fact, few countries will be that lucky. Spain is a leader and strategic enclave, not only in Europe, but globally, thanks to the efforts of Odeon Multiplexes, which has been adapted since June 2023 to five theaters in Alicante, Narón (La Coruña), Gerona, León and Leganés (Madrid). Since then, more than seventy titles, large productions such as the recently released Wicked: Part 2, Predator Badlands, Snow White, Mufasa, Captain America o Indiana Jones, among many others. This is not the ceiling, the goal is ambitious and Odeon Multicines will have six other theaters with Cinity technology ready for this long-awaited premiere: in Madrid capital and Tres Cantos, in Vilanova (Barcelona), Portugalete (Vizcaya), Algeciras (Cádiz) and Avilés (Asturias).

Beyond China, where this system is already present in many theaters, this premium cinema quality can only be seen in two rooms from Germany, three from Switzerland and in so only one cinema in the entire US, in the state of Wisconsin. Thus, Spain, hand in hand with this chain of cinemas of Spanish origin and capital, is at the forefront of the integration of the innovative Asian system with eleven Spanish rooms, having ahead only the country where it was devised.
