Ebantic plays a fundamental role in the birth of ProArchive, Fujifilm's new digital preservation service
Fujifilm will present at ISE 2026 ProArchive, a digital preservation service for large video and photographic collections in which Ebantic has participated as a technological partner in the development and implementation.
ProArchive was born to respond to a growing need among professional photographers, agencies, institutions and documentary fund managers: have a centralized, secure and efficient system for the conservation, organization and access to audiovisual content of high heritage value. The service allows manage the full content cycle, from capture to long-term archiving, incorporating advanced indexing and search services using artificial intelligence to improve accessibility.
Within the framework of this project, Ebantic has been responsible for the design, development and implementation of the software platform, contributing its experience in digital asset management systems, ingestion flows, cataloguing, consultation and secure access to photographic and audiovisual content. The solution facilitates ingestion of assets, their structuring through folders and metadata, visualization through proxies, advanced searches and the export of originals; all this, in a multi-client environment and with access control.
ProArchive is based on a hybrid architecture, which combines the flexibility of the cloud with the security of long-term physical storage. All content is archived in a private data center using Fujifilm LTO tape, especially indicated for long-term digital preservation with the highest levels of security and reliability. The service will be available in different modalities to adapt to different customer profiles and needs.
As transferred Carles Rams, CEO of Ebantic, participating in a project like ProArchive allows the company to “put our technological experience at the service of a robust, safe and prepared preservation solution to guarantee the long-term conservation of audiovisual heritage.” From Fujifilm Spain, Eduardo López, director of imaging y recording media, emphasizes that the solutions that the company will debut at ISE 2026 respond “to the current needs of professionals and institutions.”
