The multicloud offering of Cerberus Tech, which was already compatible with AWS, Google Cloud and DigitalOcean, incorporates the technology of Akamai Cloud as a supported infrastructure option within its LiveLink platform.

The incorporation of Akamai Cloud offers customers another way to implement environments and organize live video processing workflows using the same interface. In this way, as explained Chris Clarke, co-founder of Cerberus Tech, customers can benefit from “familiarity and ease of use,” which drives efficiency in broadcast environments.

By adding Akamai Cloud, customers Livelink can implement primary and backup environments in different cloud providers; reduce exposure to global disruptions or specific supplier issues; avoid blocking and protect against unexpected changes in prices or services, and select the most appropriate cost and performance model for each workflow.

Cerberus Tech reinforces the LiveLink multicloud support, a platform that uses core cloud components (computing, networking, and output) to create dedicated systems for live video processing and distribution. Everything, as highlighted Zak Putnam, senior director of business development at Akamai, on flexibility: "What Cerberus Tech has created with Livelink gives broadcast teams the flexibility to deploy where it makes the most sense for their workflows. We're excited to be part of their multi-cloud mix, especially for customers who need to balance scale with economics."
