Broadpeak Multiview

Broadpeak develops its new Multiview solution, which allows the viewer to be offered multiple simultaneous signals more efficiently with less less processing power on the decoder.

The solution, which Broadpeak will demonstrate at NAB 2026, offers a new alternative to traditional multi-screen technologies, as it allows viewers to watch several different events at the same time or follow multiple camera angles, with an improvement in the cost and efficiency of streaming compared to other options available on the market.

Multiview allows fans to offer more personalized viewing experiences and attractive during tournaments and match weekends. Parks Associates' S.O.S State of Streaming 2026 report revealed that multi-screening is one of the most engaging interactive features for sports viewers, popular with 53% of fans, along with essential features such as multi-game selection, in-game analysis, or recording to watch later.

Michael Goodman, Director of Entertainment Research at Parks Associates, says, "Sports audiences, especially younger viewers, increasingly expect more control, choice and interactivity, whether it's changing games, watching multiple events at once, or tracking player performance statistics for betting purposes. As multiviewing becomes a standard feature that subscribers demand from premium sports services, providers need a practical and cost-effective streaming architecture to deploy it at scale."

Broadpeak enhances traditional multiview workflows with a new enfoque multipackaging. This combines the video sources at the packager level, after encoding, meaning it is requires much less processing power at the decoder level. All processing is done on the network and a single transmission is delivered. This means that end-user devices do not need to have special playback capability or additional processing power to get the best experience. This gives content providers the freedom and flexibility they need to create and extend innovative multiview experiences to the widest possible audience, while actively reducing costs.

Jacques Le Mancq, president and CEO of Broadpeak, highlights that "multi-screen is quickly becoming a sure bet for the largest sports streaming companies, especially around the finals of major championships or global events such as the World Cup. Delivering it cost-effectively at scale remains an ongoing challenge due to high processing requirements and limited display configurations. Our approach allows for unlimited design flexibility with greater efficiency and compatibility. We are excited to bring this new evolution of multi-view to the global broadcast market in “streaming.”
