Avid, winner at the 2026 Oscars: from 'One battle after another' to 'F1'
The main winners of the 2026 edition of the Oscars, from the Best Film winner 'One Battle After Another' to great hits with global reach such as 'KPop Demon Hunters', 'Avatar: Fire and Ash' or 'F1', deployed solutions Avid such as Media Composer or Pro Tools in their post-production processes.
As indicated Avid, he 87% of productions winners in the last edition of the Oscars were created with their solutions. Wellford Dillard, CEO of Avid, has moved his congratulations to the team of these works and has highlighted his “pride” in seeing “how the most important stories in the world take shape thanks to artists who use Avid tools as part of their creative process.”
In this way, One battle after another won in categories like Best Film or Best Editing; F1, in Better Sound; KPop Demon Hunters, in Best Animated Feature Film; Valor Sentimental, in Best International Feature Film; Avatar: Fire and Ash in Best Visual Effects, y Mr. Nobody Against Putin, in Best Documentary Feature Film. Avid audio and editing solutions are also trusted by most nominated works in several of the most notable categories of the evening. Eight of the ten films nominated for Best Picture were created with Avid, four out of five editors in the Best Editing category edited their films with Media Composer, and all of the Best Sound nominees used Pro Tools.
Andy Jurgensen, winner of Oscar for Best Editing by One battle after another, values very positively the performance of Media Composer during the editing process: "This movie had so many tones—comedy, drama, action—that it's very difficult to categorize it. One thing I loved about this movie was Avid's automatic transcription tool...When you need to find just one word or phrase, you can search for it and find it in all the different takes. It saved me a ton of time."
