Chyron and Asport partner to offer cloud-based end-to-end live sports production
Chyron announces at NAB 2026 a partnership with Sport, a company specialized in sports technological innovation. Together, they will offer a flexible, modular and comprehensive solution for live production and distribution, supporting sports rights holders.
Designed for the entire spectrum of sport, from top tier federations to grassroots organisations, this solution combines Chyron's cloud-based live production technology, delivering broadcast-quality video mixing, advanced graphics, AI-powered replays and professional commentary, with Asport's content management, AI-driven refinement, multi-channel distribution and white-label OTT platform. Together, these capabilities enable organizations to produce, enhance, and distribute high-quality content with efficiency, automation, and scalability.
A proof of concept with the Austrian media company Krone has already demonstrated the potential of this collaboration. Live production, automated graphics, and commentary were streamed via Chyron Live, while Asport managed content distribution to Krone TV and Krone's white label OTT platform. Following this success, Krone plans to implement the workflow starting with selected matches in the top Austrian handball league throughout the upcoming sporting season, giving it greater flexibility, scalability and the ability to produce remotely, reducing dependence on a physical master control room (MCR).
Mike Truex, CEO of Chyron, notes that "the partnership with Asport allows us to leverage our proven live production solution to deliver both engaging live coverage and a wide variety of content formats across all channels. The use of AI and automation facilitates optimized workflows for multi-channel content generation, responding to a key market demand, especially in light of changing viewing habits among younger audiences."
"With Chyron, we are partnering with an industry leader known for its broadcast-quality solutions. This allows us to seamlessly combine its technology with our intelligent automation and multi-channel distribution capabilities, enabling rights holders and organizers at all levels to produce, package and share content with the speed and quality previously reserved for top-tier productions," he says. Rainer Roesslhuber, president of Asport.
This technological alliance offers sports rights holders at all levels a scalable solution Suitable for professional leagues, grassroots organizations or anyone who wants to build an audience for any sport. Comprehensive cloud-based architecture enables flexible, remote workflows, all from a single trusted source. Greater efficiency is ensured through AI-powered generation of personalized content formats and automatic publishing to all desired channels. The end result for the rights holder is their own branded OTT platform with all the functionalities to offer the best experience to fans and maximize revenue.
