EDU Radio installs its studio with the Capitol IP Plus console from AEQ
The new educational station EDU Radio, launched on April 1 on the DAB+ digital network in Prague, relies on the Capitol IP Plus digital console from AEQ to equip your new studio with a project developed in collaboration with the Czech integrator Audiopro.
The station, aimed at the practical training of future announcers, sound technicians and podcast creators, has integrated the Capitol IP Plus console as the operational core of its live broadcasts and educational productions.
“One of the main reasons we chose AEQ's Capitol IP Plus console is its intuitive operation, which even a presenter with little experience can easily operate,” he explains. Petr Žaček, owner of EDU Radio and host of the station's morning show. As detailed, the console is used in ON AIR mode during live broadcasts and can be quickly switched to OFF AIR mode for recording training content and discussions.
The Capitol IP Plus is designed for on-air radio production environments and combines a compact footprint of 10 faders with integrated touch screen y advanced audio processing tools. Its features include a four-band parametric equalizer, advanced filters, dynamics control and support for up to 32 mix buses intended for programs, monitoring and auxiliary signals.
In the section of connectivity, the console integrates analog inputs for microphones, Dante networks to interoperate with DAB+ automation and distribution software, as well as USB connectivity for SIP telephony integration.
System flexibility
From Audiopro, official representative of AEQ in the Czech Republic, Ivan Lehky destaca especialmente la flexibilidad del sistema y su relación entre coste y prestaciones. “Aprovechamos plenamente su amplio abanico de interfaces de audio: entradas analógicas para micrófonos, Dante para conectar con software de reproducción y distribución DAB y radio online, además de USB para integrar de forma sencilla un teléfono SIP”, señala.
La solución también incorpora módulos híbridos para llamadas telefónicas, funciones de silenciamiento automático para monitorización y software Virtual Capitol optional for remote control from PC. In addition, the silent convection cooling system prevents acoustic interference, a feature especially relevant for both live broadcasts and educational environments.
With this implementation, EDU Radio reinforces its commitment to a broadcast training model based on professional infrastructure and IP technologies adapted to new digital workflows.
