DAZN Italia consolidates its immersive environments with wTVision

wTVision leads the project to create six virtual studios aimed at expanding the narrative possibilities of the formats of DAZN Italy, a company that will broadcast exclusively for the country the 104 matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Conceived by the creative teams at wTVision y DAZN Italy, the project integrated architecture, interior design, artistic direction, lighting, 3D design and technical planning, always in a virtual context. More than in one's own scenographyexplains wTVision, the complexity of the case study has resided in the creation of a coherent visual universe, in which the spatial depth, light, reflections, textures and background movement They contribute to a more immersive, realistic and distinctive on-air experience. Background elements, including the studio's virtual windows, had to respond correctly to camera movement, preserving depth and spatial logic throughout the entire plane.

wTVision approached each environment as if it were a real study, considering proportions, materials, light direction, textures and shape in which the presenters would occupy the space. This knowledge multi-disciplinary It allowed the physical and virtual layers to be brought together with a level of realism adjusted to the demands of top-level sports coverage.

In the project, deployed in the NVP Innovation Hub de Cologno Monzese, R³ Engine y Unreal functioned as complementary technologies, combining cinematic photorealism with the control, responsiveness and workflow integration needed in studio environments. wVSet ensured the virtual studio layer y augmented reality, connecting creative flexibility with the operational precision necessary to make these environments reliable, broadcast-ready and adaptable to different editorial formats.

The collaboration between wTVision and DAZN Italia began in June 2025 and came to go-live in September of the same year. Throughout the process, both teams worked closely in the creation and execution of the virtual study environments, with NVP, technical partner of the project, in coordination with DAZN, supporting the PCR component and facilities behind the scenes.

DAZN Italia receives this creative evolution at a particularly relevant. The brand has the exclusive rights to transmit the Serie A Enilive in Italy until 2029 and it will also be the only platform in the country where you can see the 104 matches of the FIFA World Cup 2026.
