Avalon: Clear-Com points to the future with its first 100% IP intercom platform

The new intercom communication platform of Clear-Com, Avalon, is aimed at broadcast, live event and 100% IP production environments with the aim of simplifying and expanding the possibilities of the most demanding workflows.

Designed for intercom environments totally based on IP, Avalon offers an alternative for users who do not need analog audio connectivity. The platform combines a port architecture con scalable licenses with a compact design for rack mounting, which allows reducing the complexity of a system compatible with the Clear-Com's top solutions and available in a compact format 1RU.

Avalon arrives to complement Arcadia, which remains key to Clear-Com's product portfolio in those applications requiring hybrid analog and IP connectivity, front panel control and compatibility with legacy systems. The platform is compatible with technologies AES67, Dante and I.V. Direct from Clear-Com, favoring local and remote connectivity, and comes with “greater IP capacity and network flexibility” for productions and facilities that operate in converged infrastructures.
