When AI makes the news: Ramen Studio's challenge for RTVE

Ramen Studio y RTVE They work hand in hand in the creative design and production of the 'Telediario 2' special around artificial intelligence, materialized in 25 minutes with sequences generated with different generative techniques in a context of "maximum editorial demand."

For more than three months, the team Ramen Studio has collaborated with RTVE in the conceptualization of the format, collaborating in the development of the script and designing all the sequences generated by Artificial Intelligence that allow the journalist to travel through different moments in the past and future to explain how this technology is transforming society. To carry it out, the producer gathered a multidisciplinary team formed by directors, producers, artists specialized in Artificial Intelligence and editors who worked in a coordinated manner in the different creative and production phases.

Beyond the technical development, the special represented one of the biggest professional challenges for the studio to date. Integrate tools Generative AI in an informative content produced for RTVE involved facing not only creative and technological challenges, but also editorial and legal challenges typical of a public medium. In the words of Miguel Bueno, content director and executive producer of Ramen Studio: "This project allowed us to demonstrate that Artificial Intelligence can be incorporated into audiovisual language to build longer stories and not only as a visual game or to support VFX. The real challenge was to use AI in a professional way under a briefing extensive, with creative criteria, journalistic rigor and editorial responsibility.”

The collaboration with RTVE also represents an important precedent in the use of AI tools within a reference information format, demonstrating that, according to Ramen Studio, these technologies “can enrich the viewer experience without compromising credibility or editorial standards.”
