Discovery presents his own "YouTube"
The BroadCaster Crea Testube, its own digital content platform for which it will produce exclusive content.
Under the curious denomination of Testune, Discovery Communications has launched its own online video distribution platform.
On the new platform, the company goes beyond the clips and trailers of interest of its different channels such as TLC, LIV, Discovery Kids and Animal Planet. The portal has its own programs, Laci Green’s Sex+, Stuff Mom Never Told You, or Blow It Up, a spinoff of Mythbusters in which the protagonists are responsible for "exploiting" the things that spectators and fans want to get rid of them.
Discovery thus intends to increase its digital presence and hopes to attract 10 million visits per month, with the aim of entering 20 million dollars at the end of the year. Testube is a Creation of Revion3, a digital innovation company that the group acquired now a year ago.
