With sales above 10.3 million euros, a 30% increase compared to the previous year, and a business portfolio estimated at 4 million euros, the company chaired by Manuel López Oñoro is willing to open the doors to an investor with whom to expand markets.

eurocomTalking about broadcast engineering is talking about the Eurocom group. The company chaired by Manuel López Oñoro, after consolidating its international presence, mainly in Latin America and North Africa, has opened the doors to the entry of a new partner that allows them to enter new geographic and business markets.

The Spanish broadcast company has closed the 2008 financial year with sales of 10.3 million euros, which represents an increase of 30% compared to the previous year, significantly increasing its results. The current year, according to its data, will also yield excellent results due to the current business portfolio that Eurocom currently has in place. According to their data, the current order book is estimated at 4 million euros. Among other actions, Eurocom is currently carrying out an IP contribution network for Telefónica, several broadcasting projects in Algeria (the country in which it has opened an office), as well as several mobile phones in Venezuela, Colombia, the Caribbean area and Central America. In the Spanish market, DTT and HD production (especially in sports and outdoors) are also lines of action opened by the group.

But, without a doubt, it is in the Latin American market where Eurocom is becoming stronger thanks to a series of commercial alliances it maintains with the most prestigious brands in the sector. The opening of offices in the Dominican Republic (for the entire Caribbean) and Colombia, the awarding of new contracts in Venezuela and the signing of commitments for its establishment in Mexico and Chile support the progression of Eurocom on the American continent. In this sense, one of the star projects for 2009 is the implementation of a system that will provide the National Emergency Commission of Costa Rica with a technical media platform that allows it to coordinate and report directly and independently on any local or national emergency situation caused by natural disasters.

Eurocom is also present in Brussels, with a representative office before the European Economic Community, and is currently considering entering Portugal. On the African continent, Eurocom continues the development of a series of programs started last year. With the constitution of the company Eurocom-Algeria, it promotes the development of Algerian radio and Digital Television from a position of local industry and engineering. In addition, Eurocom Algeria intends to serve as a bridge for its expansion in the Middle East market.

In Angola, the group was awarded a contract to supply seven mobile units thanks to the trust that the Angolan authorities have placed in Eurocom due to its results in previous projects.

With the data of this growth in hand, Eurocom has decided to undertake the search for a partner who, according to its president, Manuel López Oñoro, “is quality and complementary, and who can provide us with synergies.” The profile of this partner could be that of a company very present in emerging markets such as the Middle East or Asia, or one that would be complementary in business areas related to audiovisual and telecommunications in both the public and private sectors.
