Pelco has extended its range of transmitters and receivers with PelcoFiber technology to provide the best transmission quality available for long distances. Ideal for transportation applications, university campuses, industrial services or any long distance application, PelcoFiber includes a complete line of premium fiber optic cabling solutions to meet the needs of any type of security system installation.

With coaxial systems, video and data signals can begin to degrade when transmitted over three hundred meters. With this novel technology, Pelco offers up to 28 dB optical devices that can easily transmit up to 46 kilometers in single mode without loss of image quality or clarity.

PelcoFiber transmitters and receivers can work with most data transmission formats (NTSC, PAL and SECAM) through a simple selector on the rear panel and are compatible with RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, Bi-Phase and Manchester Communication Systems. The characteristics of these devices designed in 8-bit digital technology are completed with an optical budget of 28 dB in both multimode and single-mode models, multiprotocol data transmission, data in bidirectional format, possibility of control via Coaxitron, use of laser technology and use of 1300 nm lengths to extend transmission distances. Estas unidades han sido diseñadas para funcionar como unidades independientes o bien montadas dentro de un sistema de rack con el objetivo de incrementar la flexibilidad de instalación y reducir la necesidad de tener unidades redundantes en stock.
