Cineville, a French chain of the Soredic group with numerous theaters in western France, has started this summer a digital deployment project in five of its multiplexes representing a total of 30 screens in the towns of Henin-Beaumont, Rennes, Laval, La Roche-sur-Yon and Quimper. Continuing its collaboration with Barco, Cinemeccanica and Ymagis, the project will feature DCI DCP-2000 servers from Doremi Cinema. With this operation, Cineville becomes one of the four French chains that migrate to digital by relying on Doremi systems.

Another French chain, in this case Cap Cinema, which has about one hundred theaters, has also chosen the DCP-2000 servers to equip its theaters in the towns of Blois, Saint-Quentin, Périgueux, Agen, Carcassonne, Montauban, Beaune and Fribourg, starting in September. After this first phase, a second is planned to begin at the end of the year.

Currently, around 7,000 screens worldwide, including 1,300 in Europe, are equipped with Doremi technology.
