Doremi servers at the Cannes opening
For the first time, the Festival selects DCP-2000 servers for screening at the opening ceremony.
For the first time in history, the opening of the 62nd edition of the Cannes Film Festival has begun with a 3D screening. Servers selected for screening Up, from Pixar, have been the Doremi DCP-2000.
Patrick Zucchetta, managing director of Doremi, has stated that he feels “very honored to have been chosen by the Cannes Film Festival”, and added that “this will be a historic milestone in having selected a 3-D title for the opening of such an emblematic festival, making us proud to be part of this screening”.
At this moment there are about 1,300 DCP-2000 servers installed throughout Europe.
