The video by Juan Carlos Somalinos has been the winner in the Video category of the Contest Creative Talents organized by Apple among enrolled students in Apple Authorized Training Centers for Education (AATCe) of all of Europe.
The student of the Trazos School Madrid, Juan Carlos Somalinos have achieved with their work Bitácora take first place in a European creative talent contest organized at the European level by Apple. The second and third prizes went to two students from Norway and the fourth prize went to a student from France.
The call, which opened in January 2009, was addressed to all students enrolled in a European AATCe (Apple Authorized Training Center for Education) center. The contest has allowed some of Europe's most talented students the opportunity to Expose your video and audio production skills using Final Cut Studio and Logic Studio. The average quality of the hundreds of work has been first class. This year's call has had, moreover, a special relevance given that 2009 has been designated by the European Commission as the Year of Creativity.
After a thorough deliberation process, the jury has appointed the following winners in the video categories: Bitácora, Juan Carlos Somalinos Martínez (Trazos School, Spain); Johan Johansen Hansen, Hannah Kollsete (NISS, Norway); Echo, Christopher Wollebekk (NISS, Norway); y Permit Day (facebook), Ambroise Carminati (EICAR, France). In the audio category, the winners were the works Bit of this and that , Krizia Bassanini (Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, United Kingdom); Plain Sight, Tom Prendergast (Doncaster College, United Kingdom); The Reason, Simon Konzett (Dornbirn Jazz Seminar, Austria); y Try Again, Xenia Ghali (University of Surrey, United Kingdom).
