Echolab at IBC'09: versatility in its proposals
At IBC2009, Echolab will offer its extensive catalog of intuitive, compact, easy-to-operate, and high-quality production systems.
Celebrating its 35 years on the market, one of the reference mixers in many markets, the Echolab Atem, will now show at IBC'09 all its production potential in 1-M/E 3-Gbps 1080p/60 environments. Among its new features, it includes four upstream and two downstream keyers as well as the SuperSource crosspoint and the Stinger transition generator, being able to compose up to a total of a dozen layers. Atem also offers maximum flexibility thanks to its ten mixed format inputs built in synchronization and scaling, so that each input accepts HD or SD signals. With two of the inputs it can also accept signals from a computer, making it a perfect mixer in any production environment. Atem includes a preview program, and three auxiliary outputs in native format, as well as two auxiliary analog outputs with internal down/cross conversion for SD distribution.
On the other hand, this year the versatile Overture MD mixer, available with 1 or 2 M/E, becomes even more versatile by adding 3-Gbps (1080p60) to support existing SD formats, 720p, 1080i via a simple SDI or HDMI input. Many production companies and broadcasters are forced to mix formats with the subsequent hassle of converting signals from external equipment. With the internal analog-to-digital signal converter and frame synchronization, Overture MD offers a unique solution for even the highest quality formats, thanks to 3 Gbps support.
