JVC con IBC TV 2009

JVC solid state camcorders will be responsible for covering the IBC TV 2009 news channel. EVS will also collaborate with its systems in a workflow where work is done at high speed.

The news channel IBC TV has chosen JVC solid state camcorders for the 2009 edition of the event to be held in Amsterdam from September 11 to 15. The new GY-HM100 camcorders, an ultra-compact 3-CCD handheld model, and the classic GY-HM700, a compact shoulder camcorder, are perfect for covering news from an event like the IBC and will be used to capture all the action from this year's event.

The multimedia nature of the IBC TV News channel means having to produce content extremely quickly, so an efficient workflow is an essential aspect, and this has been the dominant factor in the decision to use JVC's ProHD cameras on this occasion. With the fair's website, podcasts and mobile content, in addition to the well-known IBC breakfast programs that are produced daily, the time spent editing content becomes a critical element. The GY-HM100 and GY-HM700 camcorders are the first professional models in the industry that directly record files directly to solid state memory in the native QuickTime format used by the Apple editor Final Cut Pro and also in XDCAM EX, also used by many other editors, including the CleanEdit system.
