A large group of businessmen from Alicante has come to the City of Light to learn first-hand about the tax advantages and legal guarantees of investing in film production.

A group of Alicante audiovisual businessmen have met in the City of Light to exchange impressions and learn first-hand about the tax advantages and legal guarantees of investing in film production. The director of Ciudad de la Luz, José María Rodríguez Galant, has assured that it is an initiative to attract new investments to the world of cinema and to maintain permanent contact with the Alicante business community.

Javier López Blanco, from Tornasol Films, participated in the event, a production company that has an agreement signed with Ciudad de la Luz for the filming of at least sixteen feature films, which has assured that cinema as a business approach can be good business.

Next, Javier López Mora, tax advisor, said that the cinema law allows the use of tax structures to invest without risk and with high profitability. The operations are guaranteed by the Ministry of Finance, the investment is not disbursed until the film is finished and the tax deductions are applicable for up to ten years.

The businessmen, among whom were representatives of the companies Subus, Grupo Idex, Costa Azul, Alicante Urbana, IFA and Provia among others, have shown their interest in the world of cinema and the excellent conditions of this type of investment. In times of crisis, they have said, cinema can be an option.
