The JVC 4K live at IBC'09
If at the last NAB you missed JVC's innovative KY-F4000 4K camera, at IBC you will have a new opportunity to see it in action in the new RAI 'Production Village'.
With a 1.25 CMOS sensor offering 3840x2160 pixels, JVC's new KY-F4000 camera is capable of producing ultra-high resolution images of up to four times Full HD resolution in 60p live images on a 56-inch 4K LCD screen.
The new camera offers HDSDI Dual Link output (4:2:2/10 bit four channels), and DVI connection (4:4:4/8 bit four channels). It also offers genlock input, HDSDI 1080 (60i/59.94i). These features would allow this camera to be used in environments such as high-resolution video conferencing in applications such as distance education or event broadcasting.
JVC maintains that this camera differs from other options such as the widespread Red One because according to the manufacturer it is the only one that allows working live at 60p output, while others, having been designed for cinema environments, process from 24p to 30p.
