For ASIMELEC there is no rush in paid DTT
The general director of ASIMELEC, José Pérez, assured Europa Press today that “there has been no haste” in the approval of paid DTT, since it is “a coherent process that has been worked on for several months.”
In statements to Europa Press, the general director of the Multisector Association of Information Technology Companies (ASIMELEC), Pérez has been convinced that the process of implementing paid DTT has not been hasty, but rather "a coherent process that has been worked on for several months. With respect to the criticism that has arisen regarding the measure, mainly from consumer associations, Pérez has assured that "there is no room for controversy, at least", in relation to the marketing of receivers.
Pérez recalled in his statements to Europa Press that the conclusions of the working group have been published through the Ministry's website and are publicly accessible. “They are absolutely verifiable facts,” he noted. Finally, the manager has defended the standard model approved by this group, since it is universal and "technologically neutral." "This is not an issue that the Government invented a week ago. It would make no sense to approve a market model and there be no equipment but, in this case, it has been working for a long time even with a specific group of recipients," commented the general director of ASIMELEC.
