Sony presenta Sound Forge 10
The new version incorporates new improvements, including customizable window layouts, performance optimization, and interactive tutorials.
Sony Creative Software has announced the availability of the Sound Forge Pro 10 digital audio production suite.
New features in Sound Forge Pro 10 include event-based editing, DAO (disc-at-once) CD burning, iZotope 64-bit SRC (sample rate conversion), MBIT+ dither (deep bit conversion), musical instrument file processing, and an 'élastique Pro' timestretch/pitch shift plug-in.
Sound Forge Pro 10 provides new enhancements, including customizable window layouts, performance optimization, and interactive tutorials. These new capabilities create a powerful and flexible audio production environment that increases workflow and efficiency while producing high audio quality. The new version supports 24-bit and 32/64-bit floating point files at 192 kHz full resolution for maximum audio fidelity. Capture the subtle harmonics and nuances of instruments, vocals, and effects changes.
Additionally, Sound Forge Pro 10 software features a comprehensive suite of audio production applications including Noise Reduction 2 plugins to fix common audio problems such as tape hiss, camera buzz, clicks and skips, as well as the powerful Spectrum Analysis tool for analyzing audio and iZotope's Mastering Effects Bundle 2, a collection of six professional audio plugins. Sound Forge Pro 10 software also includes built-in per-disc CD (DAO) mastering to create standard (red book) audio CDs.
Full video support
This solution from Sony Creative Software supports several video formats, including AVI, WMV and MPEG-1/MPEG-2, and can synchronize audio and video precisely frame by frame. Sound Forge Pro 10 software includes MPEG-2 templates for creating HDV-compatible files at 720p and 1080i resolutions and AVI templates with CineForm's CFHD codec for creating intermediate renders at 720p and 1080i. It also includes templates for encoding WMV at 720p and 1080p.
Another feature to take into account in video environments is that Sound Forge Pro 10 allows you to export multichannel files in AC-3 surround format using the included Dolby Digital AC-3 plugin.
