'Inglourious Basterds' triumphs in San Sebastián and sweeps the box office
Quentin Tarantino's new film, which Zabaltegi opened in San Sebastián, becomes the director's best box office in Spain.
Inglourious Basterds, which was presented last Friday at the San Sebastián Film Festival, was the film of choice for viewers last weekend, ranking at the top of the box office with a gross of almost three million euros. The film thus becomes the best opening in the history of Tarantino's filmography in Spain, and is already the acclaimed director's highest-grossing film internationally.
Inglourious Basterds opened the Zabaltegi section of the 57th edition of the San Sebastian Film Festival with the overwhelming presence of its director, Quentin Tarantino, the film's protagonist, Brad Pitt and the film's producer, Lawrence Bender, who captured the attention of the media and the public.
