New SD/HD Digital Camera Transmitters and 10 GHz Portable Links from SVP

SVP Broadcast Microwave, a company dedicated to the design and manufacture of microwave links for Television, presents its new DT-02 SD/HD digital camera transmitter and the DT/DR-70 portable link at 10GHz.

SVP Broadcast Microwave has developed two new products, which they will show at their stand at the International Professional Exhibition of Audiovisual Technology, Broadcast'09. On the one hand, it is the DT-02 SD/HD camera transmitter and, on the other, the DT/DR-70 10GHz SD/HD portable link.

As for the DT-02 SD/HD digital camera transmitter, it is a very versatile solution whose most common applications are ENG, sports broadcasts, moving links, links without direct vision,... It has a VIDEO/SDI/ASI input, four audio channels: analog or digital (embedded), data channel (GPS data transmission), SD/HD video encoding: MPEG-2 4:2:2 and 4:2:0, low delay of less than two frames, and COFDM system (2K mode).

This transmitter works in a frequency range that goes from 2200 to 2600MHz and from 3400 to 3700MHz. Its output power is 100 mW. It should be noted that it is a robust, light, compact and reliable device that has a display and keyboard.

SD/HD portable link at 10GHz

As for the DT/DR-70, it is a portable link that works at 10 GHz and is useful in multiple applications such as short and long range point-to-point links, portable links located in mobile units, ASI transport of DTT signals, links without direct vision,... The link consists of a DT-70 transmitter and a DR-70 receiver. Each one consists of two pieces of equipment: control and RF head, both of which can be separated by up to 500m of triax cable. It has VIDEO/SDI/ASI inputs, four analog or digital audio channels (embedded), data channel (GPS data transmission), SD/HD video coding: MPEG-2 4:2:2 and 4:2:0, low delay below two frames, COFDM system (2K mode), frequency range from 10,000 to 10,500MHz, output power at 0.5W. The most notable thing about this link is that it is an absolutely portable, compact, robust and easy-to-install device. The DT/DR-70 allows a connection between control and RF head of up to 500 triax meters. Additionally, it can be set to 1+1.
