OMB MOT 5 DVB-T Compac: a transmitter designed for local TV with minimal investment and maximum quality

The new OMB transmitter for DTT MOT 5 DVB-T COMPAC is a compact equipment designed to meet the growing demand in local television for a transition solution to Digital Television that allows, with a minimum investment, to reach homes in its area of influence with the highest digital quality.

OMB exhibits at its Broadcast'0'9 stand the new MOT 5 DVB-T Compac transmitter for Digital Terrestrial Television, a compact equipment designed to meet the growing demand of local television stations that requires a transition solution to DTT that allows them, with a minimum investment, to reach the homes in their area of influence with the highest digital quality.

This compact transmitter incorporates an MPEG-2 encoder, responsible for digitizing the analog audio and video inputs so that later the internal COFDM modulator (according to European standard ETSI EN 300-744) transforms the signal into radio frequency and, finally, the high linearity stage of 5Wrms of power sends the signal to the air through the radiant system. It also has an input in ASI format so that it allows, through an external multiplexer, to broadcast up to five multiplexes on a single UHF channel.
