CLAG represents the Forum of Audiovisual Clusters at FICOD'09
The Galician Audiovisual Cluster, CLAG, represents the Forum of Audiovisual Clusters in the International Digital Content Forum, FICOD 09, which was inaugurated this week at the Madrid Conference Center, by the Ministers of Industry and Culture, and which brings together relevant experts from the international digital content industry and the most leading companies in the audiovisual sector.
The Cluster Forum participates in the FICOD'09 International Digital Content Forum with a collective stand that, managed by CLAG, offers information on the audiovisual clusters of Galicia, the Basque Country, Extremadura, the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Madrid and the Valencian Community, which make up the Forum. The collective stand is a commitment to combining synergies between the clusters, giving greater weight to the audiovisual business community in forums and markets and promoting collaboration between communities, as well as designing a common strategy for the development of the audiovisual sector in Spain. During the first day, the stand was visited today by numerous professionals from companies and organizations.
Along these lines, one of the Forum's most recent initiatives is the development of an Innovation Plan that will be presented in December at the III Cluster Forum in Valencia. Likewise, at this event, CLAG will present the Innovation Guide for the audiovisual sector, a manual prepared by the Galician entity to promote innovation in companies in the sector.
The Audiovisual Clusters Forum emerged from an initiative of the CLAG, which held the first edition in May 2007 in Santiago de Compostela, in which the clusters decided to promote audiovisual creation online and give continuity to the Forum on an annual and rotating basis.
Future keys of the audiovisual sector
On the 19th, CLAG will present five cutting-edge projects led by Galician companies as an example of the spirit of collaboration as an engine of progress present in the Galician audiovisual sector. Within the framework of the Forum “Animation, video games, music: do we learn to exploit the commercial potential of Digital Creations?” and under the title “Future keys of the audiovisual sector: high definition, animation, virtual worlds and video games” the CLAG manager, Carla Reyes, will moderate the session in which five innovative projects developed in Galicia in the fields of animation, video games, virtual worlds and high definition will be presented, areas in which the Galician audiovisual industry has a high solvency and great growth potential.
