Techex presents the new compact HaiVision encoder
The new Makito encoder from HaiVision, distributed in Spain and Portugal by Techex, supports component and DVI-I video inputs in video resolutions up to 1280x1024 @ 60 Hz. The Makito will be available in a stand-alone version or in a 4 RU chassis capable of hosting up to 21 Makitos.
Techex, wholesaler of video solutions in corporate environments for Spain and Portugal, announces the new compact HaiVision encoder, Makito HD H.264. The new Makito supports component and DVI-I video inputs in video resolutions up to 1280x1024 @ 60 Hz. The Makito will be available in a stand-alone version or in a 4 RU chassis capable of hosting up to 21 Makitos. This allows the Makito to save rack space and energy (green technology) and deliver twice the resolution of typical 1U encoders by encoding up to 1080p60 video in H.264 in less than 70 milliseconds.
“Encode once” technology allows a single Makito to stream to many different “destination” clients on the network simultaneously, with each video stream specifically prepared. Client destinations can include local muticasts, remote unicast destinations, and direct streams to specific streaming server systems (for example, Wowza Media Server for Flash) and video streams managed by HaiVision's Video Furnace IP video distribution system.
The new Makito HD is available at the same price as the Makito SDI (which supports up to 3G-SDI 1080p60) and supports all of the popular Makito features, such as the ability to send high and low bandwidth streams to multiple destinations (HiLo Streaming).
The new MAKITO will be available in early December 2009.
