Sandra Hermida and Belén Bernuy will teach a film production course at EMediaLab

EMedialab launches the monographic course "Film Production. Production Management and Executive Production." Hesús Haro, technical director of Kodak for Spain and Portufal, will give a session dedicated to Quality Parameters in cinema.

Between December 7 and 10, Sandra Hermida and Belén Bernuy, producers with renowned experience in the field of national and international television fiction, will teach at EMedialab a film production course aimed at students and professionals and anyone interested in film production. During the course, a complete journey will be made from production management and executive production of a project through each of its phases (development, pre-production, filming, post-production and exploitation).

Sandra Hermida has been production director of numerous productions among which we can highlight Biutiful de Alejandro González Iñarritu ( MOD Producciones & Menage Atroz), Spanish Movie de Javier Ruiz (Think Studio), The orphanage by J. A. Bayona); nobody is perfect by Joaquín Oristrell; Hypnos by David Carreras; The undersigned by Joaquin Oristrell or The Impatient Alchemist by Patricia Ferreira. He also teaches classes at various training centers such as ECAM.

Belén Bernuy began her professional career in 1988 as a production assistant and continues as a manager, production assistant and production manager in the most prominent companies in the Spanish film industry, such as Elías Querejeta P.C., El Deseo and Lola Fims. Later she works as a production director for Tornasol Films on the films The reasons of my friends, The other neighborhood o No shame, among others. At the same time, she developed her true vocation as a producer by founding her own company, Centuria Films, with which she produced two short films for Miguel Albaladejo, Cachorro and Sangre Ciega (the latter nominated for the Goya Awards in 1993), and in 1999, her first feature film in co-production with Alta Films, Marta y Cercas.

From 2001 to 2009 she held the position of executive producer at Alta Production, a company of the Alta Films Group. In 2006, he launched the company's first self-produced film: The night of the sunflowers. Currently she continues with this same work as executive producer. Furthermore, in 2007 she was elected President of the Association of Audiovisual Production Professionals for two years, and a year later Head of the Production Specialty at the School of Cinematography and Audiovisual of Madrid (ECAM).

Quality parameters in cinema

Within the program of this course, on Thursday the 10th (from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.) students will attend the presentation “The Parameters of Quality in Cinema” given by Jesús Haro, technical director of Kodak for Spain and Portugal. This presentation will address points such as digitalization concepts, e-solution, 2k and 4k formats and systems, projection, and issues such as whether we can see 4k on movie screens...
