Alejandro Fernández Jaquotot will teach a course on new documentary television at EMedialab, with collaboration of the Audiovisual Foundation of Andalusia and Fnac.

EMedialab launches the monographic course "The New Documentary Television. Study of practical cases Terrat Pack y Finite Planet", which will take place from February 15 to 19 and will be taught by Alejandro Fernández Jaquotot, director and producer of documentary programs for television. The Audiovisual Foundation of Andalusia and the Fnac collaborate in the organization of this course.

In this course, a theoretical and practical tour will be carried out on a type of television with a great future despite the harsh reality of the grids and networks. A television that takes charge of silent revolutions such as the democratization of video or the new forms of representation that affect the image of the world that we perceive thanks to new technologies.

For 20 hours, the best cases of international and national documentary television will be analyzed, we will see how the work teams are composed and function, the coincidences and particularities with other television genres; and finally the production processes of two recent cases will be studied in detail: Finite Planet y Terrat Pack (The Sixth)

This course is aimed at students and professionals interested in multidisciplinary training, both technical and theoretical. Any highly specialized professional in any link of the large television structure who wants to know how they work in other types of formats.

Alejandro Fernández Jaquotot es director, realizador y montador formado en muchas disciplinas de la comunicación antes de dedicarse a televisión: publicidad en la Multinacional Young&Rubicam , multimedia en el proyecto pionero de internet en España Teknoland, realizador freelance de programas y autopromociones en el nacimiento de Canal Satélite Digital, ficción en los equipos de Family Doctor, Journalists y The Group, collaborator on several Zinkia Entertainment projects and in recent years focused on documentary television projects One place, one sensation: India, Vietnam, Japan, Australia, Thailand and Malaysia (Via Digital) Finite Planet (Globomedia / La Sexta) and Terrat Pack (El Terrat / La Sexta).

The duration of this workshop is 20 teaching hours and places will be limited, with a registration cost of 175 euros and it will take place at the EMedialab facilities in Malaga.
