N4B1 NAS: an LG solution to store and share information

The new N4B1 from LG incorporates integrated data management, configuring itself as a multimedia server for small networks with a capacity of between 1 and 4 TB. It includes a Blu-ray drive, as well as features for version management and data distribution.

LG Electronics has just introduced N4B1 NAS that offers data storage over a network, instead of using a PC. It goes beyond simple data storage, offering advanced information management features including a built-in Blu-ray drive, version management features, and data distribution.

With four hard drive bays, it offers an advanced storage solution since it offers a capacity between 1 and 4TB or even more. It can also include various configurations with 2 or 4 bays, allowing for different capacities; In addition, the unit can incorporate standard Blu-ray or DVD. The LG N4B1 is the world's first NAS to feature a built-in Blu-ray re-writer, allowing you to copy up to 50GB of data to Blu-ray and later reuse the storage space. It has also been optimized for small business users who use large amounts of data, such as professional photographers, graphic designers and architects.

Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) certified compatibility guarantees a perfect connection of computers through fixed or wireless networks, in addition to allowing connection with televisions and home cinemas, and offering the possibility of wirelessly sharing high definition videos, photos and music. Likewise, it has a LAN connection for Internet and home networks.

LG NAS uses RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Discs) technology that allows you to solve problems arising from the loss of information, dividing and duplicating data on several hard drives, thus avoiding possible damage.

LG NAS is compatible with Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems. A simple web-based user interface makes installation and maintenance of the equipment easy, even for non-IT users. To help resolve the most complicated issues, LG offers real-time technical support provided by IT experts located at its service center via remote access. This service allows customers to maintain their systems without the additional expense of hiring an IT consultant.
