Antena 3 integrates Messenger into its video viewer
Antena 3 integrates Windows Live Messenger into its website and video sharing from a multimedia viewer in which users can interact with other viewers or friends while watching the video.
Antena 3 takes another step in its Television 3.0 strategy by integrating Windows Live Messenger into its video viewers antena3.com. Thus, users can now watch series like El Internado while interacting with their friends on Messenger and without leaving the video channel.
In this way, Antena 3 becomes the first television in the world to launch this innovative Windows Live Messenger integration service and video sharing from a multimedia viewer.
“This new video platform is a leap forward in our 3.0 strategy, where we want the users of our portal to have other, more complete experiences when viewing our content,” said Francisco Sierra, content director of Antena3 Multimedia.
“Now, in addition to chatting with their Windows Live Messenger friends, Antena 3 users have powerful additional features, such as the ability to share their favorite videos with their friends by simply dragging them to the Windows Messenger conversation window,” he explained.
Juan Carlos Fernández Pérez-Crespo, general director of the Consumer and Online Division of Microsoft Ibérica, commented that "we are very satisfied with the service that Antena 3 has launched, absolutely innovative worldwide. The largest online community in Spain, Windows Live, with more than 20 million users in Spain, can now enjoy the new experience of watching and sharing their favorite Antena 3 series with their friends."
