Behringer buys Midas and Klark Teknik

Music Group, owner of Behringer, will integrate the Midas and Klark Teknik product ranges into its portfolio starting next year, without altering its support or distribution channels.

Uli Behringer, alma mater of Music Group-Behringer, has recently promoted the purchase of two professional audio manufacturers, Midas and Klark Teknik. Its until now owner, Bosch, is now divesting itself of these assets, according to its vice president, Robert Mulatz, arguing that the markets to which both brands belong "have not been defined as a core business area due to their size and specific requirements." Mulatz added that “Music Group will bring both Midas and Klark Teknik the necessary passion and financial strength to allow both brands to grow.”

The purchase agreement will be effective starting next January, although Behringer has already assured that they will maintain both the same line of support for both brands and the current distribution network.
