Crestron will show its HD DigitalMedia distribution system at ISE

Crestron will show at ISE 2010 its latest solutions for control and automation in corporate and residential environments. Ultra-thin touch panels, lighting control and its DigitalMedia system for HD content distribution are some of the latest developments.

Among the numerous system and lighting control solutions using all types of panels, even ultra-thin, this year its new DigitalMedia high-definition content distribution system will stand out at ISE 2010. Designed for corporate and home environments, this HDMI system allows you to distribute and display video sources on different devices, managing all data transmission of HDCP and EDID signals.

The core of this system is made up of matrices, repeaters and receivers. Flexible and modular, DM arrays accept any type of signal and transmit it over long distances as DM digital signals. Built-in QuickSwitch HD technology pre-authorizes DHCP keys and maintains a constant handshake for quick HD selection. In the final cabling runs, the DM receivers provide HDMI control and output to the display.

Since today all devices that connect to a display come equipped with HDMI, MacBooks exclusively provide DisplayPort outputs, laptops now incorporate Blu-ray players, and the latest models of video conferencing systems offer exclusively HDMI/DVI..., Crestron has dedicated five years to researching HDMI/HDCP, developing DM technology to solve the problems that installers face.

Prodigy

At its stand in Amsterdam you can also see the new Prodigy line of easy-to-use control products since they do not require any type of programming or high installation costs. The Prodidy series includes solutions for home theater automation, audio distribution, and lighting and HVAC control.

At ISE it is worth noting its ultra-thin V panels, available in 12 and 15” for desktop and wall, which together with the DGE-1 or DGE-2 engines allow displaying both HD (HDMI / HDCP) or analog video (VGA, components, and online video streaming, digital media servers and Web cameras).

And for the education sector, Crestron's proposal this year is MPC, an 'all-in-one' control solution to interconnect and control different applications and equipment commonly used in classrooms.
